quickie from Irkutsk

Waiting for the train, back in Irkutsk
We had a few glorious sunny days
on the banks of Lake Baikal. Baikal, be warned, will one day split Siberia in two to become the world's fifth Ocean!
Today is hot in Irkutsk, but we have had snow flurries and hard ice in the mornings.
More from our next destination, Ulan Ude.
I am starved of the Guardian, so please someone write and tell us how things are back home!

Hi Mahananda,

always great bliss to hear about you, Siberia, Lenins corps and all.

You're really missing the Guardian?

I assume you must have heard that the world is in the midst of its biggest economic crisis since the late twenties. If you want to know more, maybe you could get access to BBC world service somewhere somehow.

There's not much one can do about it now as it seems, and it was expected since quite a few years. It's the logic consequence of greed and delusion, as we all know.

Much much love and big big hug, my brother, from Claus in Berlin
